(This weather is very hot for the English. They are starting to suffer, can't really talk about anything but talk about the weather when they get a chance. The weather is REALLY the topic that they start any conversation. Even the 9-year-old D. asks his father in the morning still with closed eyes in the bed to check the weather!)
ENGLISH:
- plait: /plat/ A single length of hair, straw, rope, or

- gutter: /ˈɡʌtə/ A shallow trough fixed beneath the edge of
a roof for carrying off rainwater.
As far as my duties are concerned I have a quite flexible
routine.
I wake up the girls in the morning between 7:10 and 7:20.
They get up at the same time because G. has to reach her bus to get to school
and D goes to Breakfast Club. (School normally starts at 9 am.) They don't eat
breakfast at home because they have it at school. D. and I leave for school at
7:45, we walk there. Then I come home, make the girls' beds tidy up the mess in
their room as much as possible. I do the washing and the ironing for the girls'
clothes about twice a week. It is quite easy actually because of them wearing
school unform. "I'm going to write about school unifrom in detail in a
later post." Then I have free time until 14:45 when I go to get D. from
school.
Only D. has got homework regularly, G. has exams periodically, so she has to practise some more only occasionally. D.'s homework consists of two parts: Reading (anything about 5 pages) and Spelling. They've got a list in their workbooks, 10 words for each week. We have to practise these ten words during the week and they write a test on Friday.

On Tuesday D. goes to Tap Dance:

Both parents come home at 7 pm. Before they get home we have to tidy up the kitchen/dining room/lounge...
Then my task is to prepare dinner for the family. As they (most English, here) eat lots of pre-prepared food, it is not really a big burden (but, of course, I could live without it)

This is how one of my typical day looks like. My weekends are off and I also have free time during the day.
My duties will change when the girls have their summer holiday, but I'll report about it then.
